Belmont/Platteville Finishes 10th at Bi-State Classic

The Belmont/Platteville wrestling team turned in a strong showing at the Bi-State Classic, placing 10th out of 68 teams in one of the nation’s premier in-season tournaments.

The weekend was highlighted by championship performances from Briggs Weigel and Dylan Weigel, who each captured Bi-State titles in their respective weight classes. Their runs through deep, highly competitive brackets powered Belmont/Platteville into the top tier of the team standings.

Additional scoring came from Tyler Kisamore, who earned a 5th-place finish, and Oliver Harcus, who placed 10th. Contributing key wins to the overall team score were James Kastner, Payton Morshead, Aiden Weigel, Jesse Kastner, and Thomas Kastner, rounding out a complete team effort against elite competition.

In the girl’s tournament, Jaycie put together and impressive two days of wrestling to come home with a 4th place finish.
