The Platteville JV girls basketball team battled a very good River Valley team on Friday night. The girls put together two consistent halves of offense by scoring 24 points in each half. Defensively we gave up 25 in the first half and 20 in the second half. The result was a victory 48 to 45.
Maleah Temperly played through foul trouble and paced the Hilmen with sixteen points. Zoey Engle added ten points, while Lexy Popp and Anna Pennekamp each scored eight points. Rounding out the scoring was Lauren Dye with four points and Maya Heer with two. Yaqyr Goomey played multiple positions admirably for us, but did not score on the evening.
A quick turn-around puts the girls back in action on Saturday afternoon for a JV only contest at Barneveld. Go Hillmen!
