Wrestlers Close Regular Season Strong at SWC/SWAL Clash

The Belmont/Platteville wrestling team wrapped up the regular season in impressive fashion at the SWC/SWAL Clash, turning in a strong overall performance highlighted by multiple champions and podium finishes across both the junior varsity and varsity lineups.

On the JV side, Jaxcyn McCartney captured the championship at 138 pounds, while Jerdan Crase earned a title at 165 pounds. Payton Morshead added to the success with a third-place finish at 113 pounds.

Varsity competition also produced standout results. Briggs Weigel won the championship at 132 pounds, and Dylan Weigel followed with a first-place finish at 144 pounds. Tyler Kisamore placed second at 157 pounds, James Kastner took third at 106 pounds, Cam Moore finished fourth at 190 pounds, and Ethan Burggraf rounded out the results with a fifth-place finish at 215 pounds.

The SWC/SWAL Clash marked the final competition of the regular season, providing strong momentum as the team now turns its focus toward postseason competition
