Platteville Hillmen beat Dodgeville 4-1 on Thursday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at one in the bottom of the sixth when Lainee Pickel singled, scoring three runs.
A sacrifice fly by Haylee Ehrlich put Platteville Varsity Hillmen on the board in the bottom of the first.
Mia Huser earned the win for Platteville. The starter surrendered four hits and one run over seven innings, striking out three and walking three.
Kimber Bakken, Pickel, Mikala Schnering, Gabby Key, Ryleigh Hintze, and Davinazje Arnold each collected one hit for the Hillmen. Pickel and Ehrlich each drove in one run. The Hillmen turned one double play in the game.
The Hillmen will travel to Monroe for their next game on Monday.
