Belmont/Platteville Boys wrestling team finishes 1st at Westby. Girls Bring home a Silver and Gold!

The Boys and Girls Wrestling teams took to the mat today, and WOW—what a performance from both squads!

💪 Boys Varsity 5-Team Dual Tournament
The boys dominated the day, going a perfect 4-0 to bring home the 1st place team trophy! 🥇 Here are the results:

• Defeated Westby: 59-24
• Defeated Mondovi/Elva-Strum: 52-24
• Defeated Boscobel/Wauzeka-Steuben: 51-9

The girls also put on an outstanding performance!

• Jaycie Davis (152 lbs): Fought her way to a 4-1 record, earning a 2nd place finish! 🥈
• Kalie Davis (235 lbs): Was unstoppable, going a perfect 5-0 with all pins to claim 1st place! 🥇

The boys will compete next Saturday, January 25th at the Monroe Varsity Invitational. The girls next competition is Thursday, January 30th at Lancaster High School.
