Hillmen Set to Take on Pointers

In a week that featured indoor practices and rescheduling junior varsity games due to heat indexes in excess of 110°, the Hillmen remained unfazed as they prepared for Friday’s opponent. Execution was the main focus of the week. The Hillmen look to improve on their 3rd down and red zone efficiencies from last week.

Coach Jim Myers, who shares a special bond with Coach Arneson, having coached him during Mr Arneson’s senior basketball season, spoke with the team following Thursday night’s walkthrough session. Myers, a WBCA Hall of Famer, led the Barneveld Eagles to seven WIAA State Basketball Championships (6 girls and 1 boys) discussed the importance of establishing goals and the power that comes from believing in teammates and coaches.
