The Platteville Hillmen dropped a SWC match up to Richland Center despite good pitching and defense. The Hornets jumped out to a 2-0 lead before Platteville could add a run in the bottom of the third. The Hornets would then add a run every inning after that and 3 in the top of the 7th to seal the deal. The Hillmen had 6 hits on the night. Senior Dylan Weigel reached base all 3 times with a single. double and Hit by pitch. Evan Johnson started on the mound for the Hillmen going 5 innings 5 hits, 5 runs (3 earned), 3 walks, and 5 strike outs. Kingston Clayton came in for relief going 2 innings allowing 2 hits, 3 runs (2 earned), 1 walk and 1 strike out. The Hillmen return to action Thursday as they travel to Prairie Du Chien to wrap up SWC Conference play. First pitch set for 5:00.
